I’ve seen something going around on the internet lately saying something like “It’s January 74th” or, “It’s been January for 7 years”. Anyone else feel this way? Aside from New Years, January does tend to drag…31 days of resolutions quickly fading to monotonous winter days, holidays fade from view, and life returns to normal.
So I thought I would gather some of the good things from this month that has finally come to a close.
Fancy Plated Junk Food
From hot pockets to bagel bites, this chef is plating some of our childhood (and adulthood, lets be honest) favorites to make them look high class. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat a regular pop tart out of the shiny wrapper again…

These rainbow lights for your next video shoot
Greg goes over things to know about these fun Quasar Science lights! Admittedly, I’m mostly drawn to the bright fun colors, but they are also light weight, durable, and practical for a ton of different lighting scenarios.

Getting our hands on the new Nikon D780
Hot dang! It’s a DSLR. After 6 years, the D750 gets an upgrade, with some of the same features as the Z6, and we’re pretty jazzed about it.
Key features include:
- 24.5MP FX-format CMOS sensor
- EXPEED 6 processor Multi-CAM 3500 II 51-point autofocus system
- Sharp images and excellent low-light performance UHD 4K30 Video
- N-Log & 10-Bit HDMI out

Hanging in Mexico for the Wedding Film Retreat
Well, we wish we actually went to Mexico! But we did sponsor the 2020 Wedding Film Retreat in Mexico, and got to support a bunch of awesome creators!

Heavy lifting some big rigs
This setup weighs 26.5lbs, which doesn’t sound like a lot, all things considered. But try carrying this thing around on a shoot all day and then let us know how you feel.
